CoQ10 & Cardiovascular Health

Results of a study on Coenzyme Q10 show that individuals with coronary artery disease who received 150mg per day of CoQ10 for 12 weeks increased blood levels of this anti-oxidant by 189 percent. CoQ10 is naturally synthesized in the body and is also known as ubiquinone. It is manufactured in the mitochondria and is involved in making ATP which supplies energy to the cells. Taking 150-200mg of CoQ10 a day has been proven beneficial in preventing cardiovascular disease.
