A 2004 study appearing in the British Medical Journal (BMJ) stated that nearly 75 percent of all cancers are environmentally induced and less than five percent have anything to do with genetics. In cases of breast and ovarian, the percentage can increase slightly to ten percent, but that still means that 90 percent of all breast and ovarian cancers are caused by other factors, not our genes. The British Medical Journal study and numerous others stress the importance for all of us to focus on cleaning up our environment, both around us and within us.
