Fernando Gomez-Pinilla, a professor of neurology and intergrative biology and physiology at UCLA, conducted a study that shows a diet high in high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) can interfere with learning and memory. He also showed that adding omega-3 fatty acids to your diet can reverse this effect, but not to encourage anyone to keep eating HFCS.
