Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a condition involving the accumulation of fat in the liver as a result of pro-inflammatory diet, stress and other factors which lead to insulin resistance. This condition can be completely asymptomatic. NAFLD is associated with the following health conditions:
  • Metabolic syndrome or insulin resistance
  • high blood pressure
  • dyslipidemia ( high triglycerides, high LDL and low HDL cholestrol)
  • elevated insulin
NAFLD can be reversed with proper diet, exercise and proper dietary supplementation.
