Benefits of Flaxseed oil

Flaxseed oil is the world's richest source of omega-3 fatty acids. Flaxseed oil has been known as a health wonder because it contains both essential fatty acids: alpha-linolenic, an omega-3 fatty acid, and linoleic acid, an omega-6 fatty acid, in significant amounts. Omega-3 fatty acids have been known for their beneficial effects on the following conditions: arthritis, cancer, high cholestrol levels, angina, high blood pressure, multiple sclerosis, psoriasis, eczema, stroke and heart attack. Essential fatty acids in flaxseed oil are converted to hormonelike substances known as prostaglandins and are critical for maintaning key bodily functions.
